Quilting Inspiration

2013_11_20_9_58_39

It’s official – I want 2015 to be the year of the quilt. I don’t have a strong reason why (because I’m a masochist and like to constantly test my limited sewing skills?), just a desire to make one. Here’s to not failing miserably.

To get started, I’ve collected some of my favorite inspirations, mainly for pattern and a little of color.

Rectangular quilts
porter_navy
Porter by Meg Callahan. Super inspiring modern quilts and excellent color palettes.

cityharbor1
A pattern from the book City Quilts by Cherri House. A fitting theme for my city love, and a lovely and simple pattern. Reminds me a bit of a notable bathroom project using Heath tile.
